What is Atomic Goats?
Atomic Goats is a marketing suite for fashion and apparel brands: personalised marketing at scale, built on the brand's own live catalogue. It has three main features. The AI Stylist builds complete outfits for any shopper on the brand's storefront. Full Outfit Virtual Try-On lets shoppers try the whole look on, at outfit level rather than one garment at a time. Post-Purchase Upselling follows every order with outfits built around what the customer bought.
What is virtual try-on (VTO)?
Virtual try-on (VTO), also called AI try-on or sometimes a virtual fitting room, shows clothes on a person before they are bought. Atomic Goats does it at outfit level: the complete look on a model closest to the shopper's build, their own photo or a selfie, rather than one garment at a time. It previews how an outfit looks, not how each piece will fit.
How Atomic Goats does virtual try-on →What is post-purchase upselling?
Post-purchase upselling means selling more to a customer after their order, usually by cross-selling pieces that go with what they bought. Atomic Goats does it with complete outfits: around the piece a customer bought, it builds looks from the brand's live catalogue, the brand's own email platform sends them, and the customer can try the looks on and add the rest of the outfit to the basket.
How post-purchase upselling works →How does Atomic Goats work?
Atomic Goats works in three steps. It builds complete looks around each item a customer has bought, from the brand's live catalogue. It turns each set of looks into a targeted email to everyone who bought that item, sent through the brand's existing email platform. The click lands in a personal lookbook, where the customer can try a look on, restyle it with the AI stylist, or add the whole outfit to the basket at once.
How it works, step by step →Does a shopper need to have bought something first?
No. Atomic Goats also runs as an AI stylist on the brand's own storefront, so a visitor who has never ordered can build a complete outfit from the live catalogue, swap pieces until it is theirs, and try the whole look on. What they build becomes the taste data behind their first campaign.
How does Atomic Goats' virtual try-on work?
Atomic Goats' VTO shows the whole outfit on someone like the shopper, not one garment on a stock model. The shopper can pick the model closest to their build, upload a head-to-toe photo, or take a selfie that Atomic Goats builds a body from.
Does Atomic Goats' VTO give size or fit advice?
Not yet. Atomic Goats' virtual try-on shows how a complete outfit looks on someone like the shopper, which helps with whether a look suits them, but it does not tell them which size to buy or how a garment will fit. VTO with Fit, which models fit, is a tech proof of concept, not a shipped feature.
Where VTO with Fit is today →Does Atomic Goats work with Shopify?
Yes. Atomic Goats runs on Shopify storefronts through its own app. It is not limited to Shopify: the same stylist also ships as a native placement on a visual-commerce platform, with no theme code.
Shopify virtual try-on →How are the outfit campaigns sent?
Through the brand's existing email platform. Atomic Goats builds the looks once for each purchased item and sends them to every customer who bought it, so there is no new sending tool to adopt, and the cost of personal content falls with every customer.
How an outfit campaign runs →Does a brand need a photoshoot?
No. Atomic Goats generates on-model imagery from a brand's existing product shots, with an automated quality check on every image. Catalogues sync automatically, so every look is built from what is actually for sale.
Can our own team control what customers see?
Yes. Atomic Goats runs fully automatically, or a brand's merchandisers can drive it: set the brief, assemble complete on-body looks from the live catalogue, refine and approve them before anything reaches a customer, and send a lookbook under the brand's own name.
What happens to the item the customer already owns?
Every look is styled around it, and it is left out of the basket by default. Adding a look puts the rest of the outfit in the basket together, and the customer picks their sizes from there.
Complete the look, for every customer →Is colour analysis required?
No, it is optional and off by default. When a brand turns it on, Atomic Goats reads skin, hair and eye tone into one of twelve colour seasons and steers every look towards the palette that suits the person.
